 Is kangaroo meat halaal?


In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to eat kangaroo meat.[1]

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best

النَّوْعُ الرَّابِعُ: كُل وَحْشٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ نَابٌ يَفْتَرِسُ بِهِ وَلَيْسَ مِنَ الْحَشَرَاتِ : وَذَلِكَ كَالظِّبَاءِ، وَبَقَرِ الْوَحْشِ، وَحُمُرِ الْوَحْشِ، وَإِبِل الْوَحْشِ. وَهَذَا النَّوْعُ حَلاَلٌ بِإِجْمَاعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، لأَِنَّهُ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ.
