Can a man who offers Salah on a chair lead his wife who also offers Salah on a chair?

Assalamu alaikum Warahamatullahi wabarakatuhu,

Dear Mufti sab,

Can a man who offer Salah on chair be a imam for his wife who is also offer Salah on chair?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If the Imam is unable to make normal Ruku and Sajdah and he is permitted(excused) to sit and perform Salah with indications for Ruku and Sajdah, he can be an Imam for a person who is excused like him, who cannot perform normal Ruku and Sajdah. [1]
