Can i accept money for leading Taraweeh Salaah?



Can we refuse the money offered by random musalli after completion of
taraweeh Or Is it permissible to accept such money? Is there any consequences
for not accepting the money...???
How can it be explained from life Of the prophet or pious predecessors ..?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is advisable not to accept the money offered for performing Taraweeh Salah.[1]

See the following hadith,

عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، قَالَ عَلَّمْتُ نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ الْكِتَابَ وَالْقُرْآنَ فَأَهْدَى إِلَىَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ قَوْسًا فَقُلْتُ لَيْسَتْ بِمَالٍ وَأَرْمِي عَنْهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لآتِيَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلأَسْأَلَنَّهُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ أَهْدَى إِلَىَّ قَوْسًا مِمَّنْ كُنْتُ أُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْقُرْآنَ وَلَيْسَتْ بِمَالٍ وَأَرْمِي عَنْهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنْ كُنْتَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ تُطَوَّقَ طَوْقًا مِنْ نَارٍ فَاقْبَلْهَا ‏"

Translation: “Ubaadah Ibn Saamit (Radhiyallahu Anhu) relates I taught some persons of the people of Suffah writing and the Quran. A man of them presented to me a bow. I said: It cannot be reckoned property; may I shoot with it in the path of Allah? I must come to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and ask him (about it). So, I came to him and said: O Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), one of those whom I have been teaching writing and the Quran has presented me a bow, and as it cannot be reckoned property, may I shoot with it in the path of Allah? He said: If you want to have a necklace of fire on you, accept it.”

الدر المختار وحاشية ابن عابدين (رد المحتار) (2/ 73) [1]

وأن القراءة لشيء من الدنيا لا تجوز، وأن الآخذ والمعطي آثمان لأن ذلك يشبه الاستئجار على القراءة، ونفس الاستئجار عليها لا يجوز، فكذا ما أشبهه كما صرح بذلك في عدة كتب من مشاهير كتب المذهب؛ وإنما أفتى المتأخرون بجواز الاستئجار على تعليم القرآن لا على التلاوة وعللوه بالضرورة وهي خوف ضياع القرآن، ولا ضرورة في جواز الاستئجار على التلاوة كما أوضحت ذلك في شفاء العليل وسيأتي بعض ذلك في باب الإجارة الفاسدة إن شاء الله تعالى
