Three divorces issued in writing

If a husband divorces his wife, in written,
three times at one occasion

Then he signs both in Urdu and English. But after a while both husband and wife
start living together. So would it be halal or haram? The three divorces at one
time are considered as single divorce or three divorces?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

You stated that your husband issued three divorces in writing.

The statement, “Me ...... , son of late .........of street ......., in full senses, divorces divorces divorces my wife ........”, constitutes Talaaq e Mughallazah(permanently irrevocable divorce). The implications thereof being that the Nikaah terminated at that point and you cannot live together as husband and wife.[1]

If you wish to reconcile with your ex-husband, it will be necessary for you to marry another person, consummate the marriage and then re-marry your ex-husband in a separate Nikaah.

If your’ll stayed together as husband and wife after that, that is a sin for which your’ll should make Tawba and repent.

Three divorces issued at once are considered as three divorces and not one divorce. Kindly refer to the following detailed research for more details: http://www.askimam.org/public/question_detail/17287
