I was reading recent Fatwas, and came across a question about carmine (cochineal). In Fatwaa 12 September 2012 it says Halal and 9 September it says Haram. Please clarify.

i was reading recent fatwas, and came across a question about carmine (cochineal). in fatwa 12 september 2012  it says halal and 9 september 2012 it says haram. please clarify.

Fatwaa #22225 of 12 September 2012 refers to Cochineal (E120) while Fatwaa # 22226 of 09 September 2012 refers to Allura Red AC (E129).
